What can the problem be? The wireless printer worked at my last residence. I moved and have both set up on the same wi-fi network, but my IPad does not communicate to the printer.

Your printer has to be AirPrint compatible. This article talks all about AirPrint and has a list of compatible printers.
Thanks, but they are compatible, my printer is a Epson Xp 400 bought from Apple. Any more help on what I am not doing correctly.

Are you using the same WiFi router?
Have you tried restarting the router and the printer by removing power?
