Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT

Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

"We had difficulty downloading episodes from your feed."

When I try to submit my podcast to the iTunes directory, I get an error code of "We had difficulty downloading episodes from your feed."

Your episode does not have an 'enclosure' tag containing the URL of your mp3 file. The 'desciption' tag contains an embedded player, but iTunes does not read this tag and won't read an embedded player either.

There is evidently something you need to do in Blogger to get it to produce a proper podcast feed, but I'm afraid I can't advise on that.

It's preferable to start your own thread when you have a question: if you get multpile questions in a single thread it can all get a bit messy.

It's better to start your own thread rather than tack on to an old one, particularly one which has already been marked as solved - I might have missed your post.

Your feed has no 'enclosure' tags containing the URLs of the media files. This is because you are hosting your media files on archive.org and they are being served with https (secure connection) rather than http. This results in Tumblr not recognizing them as suitable for iTunes (which they aren't) and not creating an iTunes-compatible feed.

You need to change the files to being http; that will probably sort the problem out, though if it doesn't you will need to look into Tumblr to make sure it's correctly set.

You can test your feed before submitting by subscribing manually in iTunes (from the 'File' menu in iTunes 11 or the 'Advanced' menu in earler versions). If your episodes appear there and the top one downloads then you should be good to go.
