Just an FYI - I ordered from Amazon on April 25th as
well. Still no shipping notice, and my order status
says - Shipping estimate: June 26, 2006.
But the suspense is killing me. I REALLY need to know
if this machine is going to be as horrific as all 4
of my returned 15 inchers were.
Mine said the same thing. But then when I called about my rebate issues, and to ask about a ship date, they upgraded my shipping to one day for free, as well as changed the estimated ship dates. Now I'm seeing a shipping estimate of June 9, 2006 - June 23, 2006.
Personally I think it'll come sooner than later. However, given that Apple's own site hasn't budged from 5-7 days for a while now, and most other online retailers don't have it yet, I think we're in for a few more weeks' wait, at the least.
I'm resisting the urge to move this order to the Apple
Store, but because of all the QC issues the MBP's
have been having, and Amazon's amazing return policy
(as well as the $150 rebate), I'm going to stick it
out.
Exactly the same reason why I'm sticking with them too. That and no sales tax.
