Receiving data on bluetooth in OSX

Hi all!

My first post here, have read these forums frequently but now it´s time to ask for some specific questions:

I have a school project where I would like to be able to receive the raw data sent from a microcontroller UART (serial bus) either over USB or bluetooth (whichever is the easiest). The data from the microcontroller is in turn going to be saved to a file.

Any ideas where to start ? Anyone have some sample code ? I am a beginner using XCode, so all suggestions are welcome 🙂
