Slow boot and no bluetooth

OSX ML is very slow to boot up and once booted keyboard is not working.

Sys Preferences is no longer showing an icon for bluetooth.

Tried a restore but can't type in password due to having no keyboard!

Any ideas how I can sort the problem?

Thanks

As the Apple warranty expired 2 weeks ago I'm having to deal with the retailer I bought it from.

Fortunately, I think I'm probably covered by the 'Sale of Goods Act' here in the UK. If it's found to be hardware related and the cause is due to nothing I've done and it's something which should have been expected to last longer, then they are legally required to fix it at no expense to me. Looking forward to a week of arguing the toss with PCWorld (UK equivalent of CompUSA).

Thanks a lot for taking the time to help, it's much appreciated.

Good luck, it is a tough battle. In the future, you have the entire first year to buy AppleCare, and that gives you three years of coverage from date of computer's purchase. I strongly recommend you also try to argue with them to allow you to just buy AppleCare. It isn't that much when you consider what the actual repair could cost.
