How to do a ripple effect from a still picture/photo ?

Hi there,


I have a close-up picture/photo of a swimming pool.


I put this still picture/photo on the timeline but how do a ripple effect ?


I want to make the water moves/ripple and look like some wave !


Any ideas ?

Have you tried the Underwater or Wave effects in the Distortion section?


It will apply the effect to the whole image but you may be able to put another copy of the photo on the track above and mask off the bottom section so that only the wavy water from the underlying clip shows through.
