However, now that it's in my Messages database I can't open the app any more. I'm on 10.8.2
I've cleared the contents of ~/Library/Messages but that doesn't do anything.
Any ideas?

Turns out I didn't need to fix anything - I had deleted the thread containing the File:... on my iPhone and iPad and couldn't remove it on my Mac Messages which was causing the issue but when the same person sent me a new iMessage today, it seems to have synced with my iPhone and iPad and replaced the old thread with the new one. No more File:.. so everything works fine again!
Of course: this .../// is no problem in iOS nor in iCloud, but only in Mountain Lion as said before.
Someone in this thread used the exact typing of the "bug" so the messages came in empty in my mail....
Someone sent File: / / / to me over iMessage, how do I open Messages?
