Adobe Flash Player Install Failure

Hey IpadinParadise, So I figured out a work around. I had this same problem with it getting to the install and failed. I had do this befor when i had a install failure. DL the adobe install and put it somewhere you will be able to access ie the main drive. Log off and log on under a different user account, move install to desktop of new account and install. That worked for me, not sure how the auto updates will work but the install worked. Hope this helps.

No Problem, I found that this is an issue with most of Adobe products for some reason. Well if u ever find the need to use Safari again this will work, its really not that bad of a work around.

I had the same problem, got to about 50% on the install and got a "General install error" I googled for previous versions of Flash Player, and found Adobe has an archive, I downloaded the latest version from the Adobe Archive, and it installed fine.

Had the same problem for a long time - after reading this post and other, I figured out to go to Terminal.

Then cd all the way into

/Volumes/Adobe Flash Player Installer/Install Adobe Flash Player.app/Contents/MacOS

then you do

sudo ./Install\ Adobe\ Flash\ Player

put in your password and the installation completes with no errors.

Seems that errorcode 30 has something to do with permissions.

This worked for me: double click the flash install .dmg you downloaded

RIGHT click on the red 'instal adobe flash player' box

click 'show package contents'

navigate to 'contents>MacOS and then double click 'Install Adobe Flash Player exec'

enter pw and install like normal.
