My ipod touch is frozen on the connect to itune screen after an update. What do I do to solve the problem. The power on-off button does not permit me to reboot the system.

If you have all of the data backed up, do a factory restore via iTunes.
Tried to restaure in Itune but it does nthing, it comes back to the same screen
It is as if the ipod still thinks it is connected to itunes.

You may need to try this More than Once...
Be sure to Follow ALL the Steps...
But... if the Device has been Modified... this will Not necessarily work.
The BOLD may be necessary
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
