That will be an Archive & Install.

In theory, it should save all your current settings, users and third-party applications. But in practice, you may need to reinstall some of your third-party applications.

Be sure to select Preserve Users and Network settings. And you may want to try it without a safety net, but it would be advisable to have a backup.

Why do you want to do this?

EDIT: What reset button? There is no such thing.

You did what? Please just do what I told you to do first. Do an SMU reset. Read the article. Resetting the PMU, which is a switch inside on the logic board, should not be the first thing you try. It's also quite common on these older G5s for the logic board or the power supply to fail.

Is this an iSight G5? Does it have a built-in camera?

If it's the non-iSight model, you can open the back rather easily and inspect the logic board for swollen or leaking capacitors. Just unscrew the 3 captive screws--don't try unscrewing them all the way, only enough to free the back at the bottom. Lift the cover up or off completely. (If removing the cover completely, slide it down towards you first to disengage it.) You'll see numerous small metal cans about 3/4" tall. The tops should be perfectly flat with not the slightest rounding or any discharge.

You won't be able to look inside the power supply easily. It is secured with torx security screws and quite difficult to remove.

If i reset and reinstall, will i lose everything on the drive?
