x11 and x quartz launches and quits immediately.

I am AFNI for fMRI analysis.When I launch terminal and type in afni a message appears showing instalizing x11 and nothing happens.When I attempt to manually launch x11 or x quartz the program quits immediately.I have reinstalled x quartz and same is continuing.Can someone please help as I am stuck .

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

How did you install Xquartz?

Thank you very much for your support and apologies for delayed reply. I reinstalled AFNI and currently X Quarts works perfect AFNI opens without trouble and I can work.For strange reasons unknown to me I get a message

when I launch afni and also AFNI tips is missing next to AFNI logo.

is there any way I can fix this issue.
