I drove to NB on Friday and had to put the convertible top up and turn on the A/C to keep the iPhone 5 from overheating to the point of shutting down. I got the yellow triangle message it was overheated. I stuck it on the A/C vent to get the thing back on so I could continue the GPS. So iPhone 5 won't go to the pool, the beach or ride in my convertible. It can't go where I go. I have been increasingly dissatisfied with Apple especially the phones. They could be smarter! I won't buy the 6 or any other from here... I've owned them all of them and one of those people to be the "first." But upgrades just mean a new number like a prisoner and no new features LIKE in the top band keep the time and date always viewable. When I'm on a call and someone wants to make a future appointment. I must go out of the call screen and go the calendar to see what day it is! Then back. A dump phone that's only one thing that is stupid... No more Apple company ---big disappointment and now folks a phone that must stay home. Maybe in the refrigerator!

While I'm saying the charging cords are cheap, break--paying for quality-yes-but not getting it.Oh. battery life greatly improves with closing icons still running.

Any updates on this issue? Software is up to date with 6.1.4. I just restored my iphone 5, free'd up 10 GB of space and chaged fetch settings to manual. I hope this resolves the battery drain issue and the overheating. I travel a bunch so battery life makes a HUGE difference.

Ugh!

Apple - you're a little disapointing lately and the competitors are peaking my interest. I don't want to leave you because the majority of my tech products are apple ... but I have to check out some other options. 😟

I think Steve Job said this:

"We have never worried about numbers. In the market place, Apple is trying to focus the spotlight on products, because products really make a difference… You can’t con people in this business. The products speak for themselves."

Maybe I should have kept my 4s....

Apple - I'm counting on you to fix this issue!!!
