MacBook Problems, et al.

I have had my MacBook for a year and a month, and I bought it refurbished for $533. Can I return it to an apple store for in-store credit? The reason I ask is because my charger won't connect to the computer itself, and the computer sometimes randomly quits applications while I am in them, such as Safari.
