how to remove a program from mac laptop

From the menu bar start Finder

Then click on Applications.

And select and drag application to Trash on lower right of menu bar.

I am totally to MAC--where is my hardisk to click on?

If the program did not come with an uninstalled, click on its icon and drag it to the Trash. Then empty the Trash.

What application do you want to uninstall?

On Mac, most of the applications are uninstalled just dragging them to the Trash. If an application comes with an uninstaller, use it instead to uninstall that application.

Also, never use a cleaning app to uninstall an application. They can damage OS X, so the only option will be reinstall the operating system

Do you see any message when you try to send it to the Trash?

double click on you hardisk go to the application folder and just click and drag the application to trash
