How do i know which carrier my ipad is, and can i use all network data plans? (Three Network)

Im going to order an Ipad with Retina display. I would really like to get a micro-sim from the network Three - as they seem to do the best offers. Problem is, I have read/heard people say that you have to check the carrier of your ipad, as different Ipad carriers can use different Networks?

iPad, iOS 6, please help

That's in the Apple UK web site. Sprint, AT&T and Verizon are US carriers. If you're in the UK, then all references make in this thread to AT&T, Sprint or Verizon are inapplicable to you. Sorry people appear to have been misdirecting you. In the UK, there is only one model of iPad with cell network capabilities (the iPad WiFi+Cellular) and it can work with any of the supported carriers, so that's why you don't see any mention of any specific carrier.

Regards.

I am. The different iPad models, listed for different carriers, I.E. - Sprint, AT&T, Verizon, whatever, concerns LTE support, nothing more. The sim slot is officially unlocked, but if you want LTE, you need to make sure the model you purchase supports LTE on the carrier you intend to use.

As above you can buy from any legitimate source and buy a data plan ,contract or

PAYG sim from any UK carrier ( 3 are particularly good price and coverage wise )

I suggest John Lewis as a source as they give 24 months warranty verses the standard Apple 12

and prices are the same from all legitemate sources ie no discounting
