Recently Safari has frozen, failed to open some websites, stopped responding. Certain websites either do not load at all or require multiple tries for them to open. I thought it might be the Java issue but it is more wide spread. Any thoughts or remedies? Having the same problem? The sites open in Opera and Firefox.

For info: I have installed only a few extensions, for a long time...
The only thing I have in extensions is adblock. The other browsers work all right.
I am using last few days Chrome, but I would like to back to Safari.
Does anyone read this?😕
I have the same issue now and also have to use Chrome last few days. Neither guest account nor safe boot does not solve the issue. Particularly in my case Safari does not open at all (or opening too long) vk.com, meduza.io etc. I'm using Safari 7.1.2 (9537.85.11.5) and OS X 10.9.5.
