printing from iPad to HP wireless printer

Hello there,

I'm asking this question on behalf of my mum. She has an iPad 2 and last week purchased a HP all in one 3050a J611 series printer.

WE CANNOT PRINT FROM IT! and it's been driving me crazy today...I can't print from my laptop, my phone or her ipad, all devices are conncected to the correct wi-fi. I've clearly done something wrong. It printed once earlier today and then decided not to find the printer ever again.

If you can help me I'd be so grateful

You should give TalkTalk a call. They know about this issue. Here's a thread from June 2011 covering a similar problem:

Hi yes I've spoken to talk talk and they said it wasn't anything to do with their routers....I am going to give them another call tomorrow.

So I have been on the phone with a very helpful man from hp who guided me through the set up process again, and I managed to print from my laptop! However just tried again and hasn't worked.

Talk talk were extremely unhelpful and I quote "we are not well trained in apple or printers" didn't want to know about updating firmware.

I have now added the eprint app to my mums ipad and we can print through that, thank goodness...so I'm pleased about that.

Glad to see you have a working solution.

However, how you describe the issue it seems that the wireless is dropping with Airprint. Do you have the printer setup on a static ip? If not, you may want to give that a go.
