I installed everything after the book but when i connect the projector with the USB I got a blue screen and the computer turn off. I need to unplug the USB to start the mac again. Someone else with this problem, or do you have te solutions?

Hey, I found a solution! Philipps released a software-update in Aug. 2013. You can download it here: http://www.philips.de/c/projektoren-im-taschenformat/picopix-55-lumen-fuer-noteb ooks-ppx2055_eu/prd/?t=support

For me the projector was still crashing after a few minutes of working fine. The image just got stuck.

If you are using Mac OS 10.9 (Mavericks), you have to disable AppNap for the PicoPix Viewer 2 app, otherwise your Mac will snooze the app when you are running others in the foreground. To do this

1. select the PicoPix Viewer 2 app in your programs folder (make sure the app is closed however)

2. hit Command + i (or select File/Information)

3. in the information window, tick the box "Disable AppNap". Then close the window.

4. Connect the PicoPix 2055 to your Mac and start the PicoPix Viewer app

This worked for me and I can now watch movies without interruption/crashing!

MacHerb,

Just received a Picopix 2055 to hook up with my 13" retina Macbook Pro (OS 10.9 Mavericks). I have downloaded the latest software update from Phillips (website), and when I connect up the projector and start up the PicoPix Viewer 2 app, it mirrors my desktop for a while (although the whole screen shrinks on my macbook) and then freezes (this is despite disabling the AppNap option in the information window). Very frustrating this problem still hasn't been solved.

I am on the verge of returning this projector (unless I am missing something obvious with this new update?).

Hi,

I bought this projector, 2 weeks ago. With oSX 10.9 it work without any problems (i just had to solve the problem that everyone had)

Now i upgrade my MacBook Pro to oSX 10.10 and the old driver don't recognize the projector. When I plug the device at the USB and start the PicoPix Viewer 2 app, i receive a message of error that tell as "you device isn't plugged in"

I try also to install other picopix driver, with some it work but it give me an error during the projection, and the video isn't very fluid.

Anyone know how to solve this problem?

regards
