Losing Power PC applications

Having just upgraded my Imac to OSX 10.8.2 I can't open a couple of old but useful applications since I get the message "Power PC applications no longer supported". Are they lost, or can I do something to retrieve things? Thanks, JohnP

No, I burnt a copy of 10.7 when I purchased it from the App Store.

I think I might make a few OSX 10.? flash drives, just to remember what it used to look like! I have all the CD/DVDs!
