can't save keynote presentation

I purchased keynote from the app store over a year ago. However, now, when I open keynote, I receive the iWork prompt that my trial is over and I won't be able to save my keynote presentation until I enter my serial number for iWork.

How do I stop this from happening? I could care less about iWork.

thanks

Thanks sabatica, maybe there was some minor misunderstanding. Indeed I confirm I have the same problem of the original post and have a trial version of Iwork and purchased keynote. You have to acknowledge that the previous posts and maybe also mine were a bit confusing 😉

The original post was regarding continuing to use an expired trial version of Keynote which obviously wont work after the trial has expired.

IF you are using a TRIAL installation then you have the same problem as stated earleir.... if you have a trial you do not have a serial number.

Thanks a lot for your help. One last question: If I reinstall keynote do I have to insert the serial number? You recommended to specify the right version of keynote... what do you mean by that? Thanks again for your time.

If you purchased you App from the Mac App store you don't need a serial number. Your apple ID is already licensed to use it. So you can redownload it as many times as you want. Its licensed to that Apple ID.

The best solution for you is get rid of the iWork installation first. Then simply download keynote again. See earlier posts for Apps that will help you remove iWork apps.
