Apple TV not updating podcasts.

Hi,

I use my Apple TV every day to watch different podcasts, but since a few days the podcasts in my Apple TV are not updating. I have restarted my iTunes on my computer and restarted my Apple TV, but that is not working. Any advice on what to do next?

Best,

Marco.

no...same problem, and they never acknowledged the problem in february...tried to tell me it's something i am doing wrong...even though i download 3-5 podcasts daily for a few years now...but they all don't update so?...i know it's annoying but all you can do is wait it out...they'll blame the creators not posting right,etc...

nothing like creating a loyal follower and then leave them hanging...

I find it funny that I posted on this thread in februrary when this issue happened around an update. No really resolution or word from apple. It eventually cleared up. Now, again around an apple update, I am seeing the same issue and on the same thread with the same people seeing the same issue too. I wish this would get resolved permenently or at least we'd get some response.

My issue was solved in a week...

around the time of my first post.

It turned out one of the 3 ATVs wasn't updated

properly and was causing problems for all.

Make sure all connected itunes and ATVs are

updated to the latest version. I then deleted the favorites

from one of the ATVs then added each again and the problem

was solved.

My problem was that the ATV I ordered for my father

living in a different city was logged in with the same

account but had trouble updating. When he reupdated

all ATVs resumed working like before.

Hope that helps...

Well at least I'm not alone. I have restored to factory settings both atvs, have logged in and out of iTunes, have reset my router, and prayed to Allah, Buddha, Jesus and the Virgin Mary to no avail. They, certainly are busier given the world events, than Apple, but given I have had no luck with reading the support threads I figured it was at least as helpful as the IT folks general answer of "turn off the co outer and reboot." I'm taking this as an omen to be less dependent upon technology. Perhaps my dog would like to try gnawing upon the corners of the Apple TV device, as that is about the only use for it now... Certainly better than the corner of my couch.

Maybe me just being paranoid... but do ya think due to the lack of revenue generated from podcast that this is just a subtle way of slowly getting rid of it... Could it maybe just users that don't purchase anything are the only ones not getting the updates ?? May 7 was the last for me too... both US & Canadian news feeds & yes I would be a useless customer... don't see the need to buy anything..

The lack of support is unbelievably... mainly an PC & Unix person... yet you are always hearing what a great product but maybe when they have trouble they are too embarrassed to say anything... great marketing.. 😟
