Multiple Apple ID's One iMac

My iMac is telling me the computer is already associated with an Apple ID, and since it is my husbands, I can not access my library even though I am logged into MY Apple ID on my User Login. It's telling me I can not access my iCloud purchases for 86 more days, and after that my husband will not be able to access his for 90 days.

What gives?

When I signed out and signed in with his ID, none of my previous purchases even show up.

When we go to his iTunes account, under Store > Manage Devices it lists all the devices associated with his ID, including this computer - next to which it says 'Associated February 4, 2013 - 86 days remaining.' (The last time he synced his iPad with this computer for updates and such....)

Above that is the following paragraph:

"These computer and devices are associated with your Apple ID for Automatic Downloads or to download previously purchased music, apps, and books. Computers and devices can be associated with a different Apple ID once every 90 days. Days remaining indicates the number of days before you can associate that specific computer or device with a different Apple ID."

This is where support sent me the first time with my login, and this computer was not listed under my login even though when I am logged into my iTunes account (whichever user) and I try to authorize this computer, it tells me it is already authorized.

I am creating another user, but I expect that when we login to iTunes on the new user using my existing iTunes account so that I can access my content, the result will be the same....but I'm willing to try....

That is normal, even though you are signed in to his account you don't have his music, for that you would go to the Purchased section and choose to download his music to your computer, likewise for him. Being logged in as him means that you can play his music, but get it to the computer first.

Or you could use iTunes Match to populate (or even the old way, with a thumb drive)
