How to sync Outlook for MAC with iCal, Address book on Lion OS/iCloud

So none of the other clients will allow you to import a PST?

I don't know of any (excluding Microsoft) clients that will.

Check all of the available Mac clients, if you find one please post it here, otherwise try one of the many converters, expect to pay $30 or more

This calendar thing is driving me nuts - is there a clever way of moving these calendar appointments to the Mac calendar so that they sync to the iPhone and iPad using iCloud?

I am on OS 10.7.5 and until a day ago my Outlook did sync with iCal and address book and I used iTunes to sync with my iPhone.. But I had not set up iCloud. Then MS Office updated yesterday and now nothing syncs. It was true in 10.7.5 you could sync Oulook with other applications, I am guessing as long as you did not use iCloud. But since the update my only option to sync my iphone with my desktop is icloud. And now Outlook is rendered useless for syncing to my phone.

I have a PC from work, I guess I will need to use it now to work from home in order to make Outlook my contact manager and email program.

My Outlook for Mac syncs perfectly with iCal. Didn't do anything for that to happen. Have not been able to sync iCal with iContact, which is ********.

Your copy of Outlook will sync to the local clients (iCal/Calendar and Address Book/Contacts) using Sync Services. It will not sync to iCloud.

Why will iCal not sync with iCloud? Confuzzling. They are both Apple products.

iCal will sync with iCloud. Outlook will not.

It should. I have iCloud set up as an account on iCal. Events in iCal are showing up correctly, but iCloud is lacking. Not sure why.

Outlook for Mac will not synchronize with iCloud because Microsoft decided to omit the connectors needed. It will sync with iCal, but it will sync to the On My Mac account, and that (as its name suggests) is a local account, it is on your Mac, it is not on iCloud.

Until MS change Outlook for Mac it will never work.

I guess as a layman, I see it as: if iCal can see it, iCloud should be able to. I see what you are saying, but it doesn't matter. The consumer is always right. Do something. I just buy the products.

You do realize that you are not addressing Apple here, I (like all others) am an Apple user volunteering my time.

Microsoft took the decision not to support iCloud in Outlook for Mac (although they do support it in Outlook for Windows) Go and complain to them.

omg this has been driving me crazy.

thank you for confirming my suspicion. i have been trying all day to replicate the "on my mac" calendar with the "icloud" calendar, but to no avail.. sigh..
