Can you buy more "GHz" after you buy your MacBook Pro?

I need to know so that I son't have to buy the MacBook Pro that cost a lot of money if I can buy it later. Please help me!

Most of the computers you can buy today are not compute-bound for any tasks except perhaps Video special effects calculations.


They are often memory-bound, and very, very often I/O (drive speed) bound.


We have enough compute power on these little notebooks to do fluid dynamics modeling, like weather forecasting. Do not lose sleep over a fraction of a MHz.
