Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

Apps still function, after killing them off?

My expectation is that if I kill an App, that it's stopped. But I've found that some continue to have activity afterward, unless I reboot the phone.


This applies to iOS 6.1.


This doesn't make a lot of sense to me, so I wonder if someone can elaborate what's going on here - or whether there is some other way to handle it.

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1, iOS 6

I had assumed if I kill the App, that all activity would stop -- and I think that's not wrong to expect.


What I have seen is the notifications will come in after the App is killed -- unless I reboot the phone. That is, the notifications are still enabled for the App (ie: show text when a message comes in) and I do not get those notifications until I start the App up again.

So reboot it is :-)
