Thanks again Russa. Here is what finally worked for me. I make certain that the Mac is on Reminders and not Mobile Me. Then I go to Settings on the iphone, go to Reminders and then Sync.Under Sync, All Reminders should be checked. Then, if I am entering a reminder on my iphone, I go to Show More at the bottom of the Details page. I then go to list and check icloud Reminders. Now everything entered will also appear on my Mac.

Entering a reminder on the Mac first requires nothing further.

Now Russa, it is truly automagical.

Thanks for your help.

First to try:

Try restarting your iPhone. Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button down until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone back on, press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

Other solution, iPhone backp extractor, which can restore reminders from iPhone backp to personal computer: http://www.vibosoft.com/ios/extract-iphone-backup-from-itunes-mac-windows.html

Hi Howard, Are you just trying to enter a reminder on your Mac and have it instantaneously appear on your iphone? If so,my 2/12/13 rreply to Russa, above, which sets out how I do this should work for you. Before replying to you today I went through each of the steps and it works fine. Russa is right in that it may seem a bit confusing but be patient. Good luck.

Hi Alexandra1211,

My 10/24/13 updated comment may help you.If you enter a reminder on your iphone, touch the blank space next to the reminder and an "i" in a circle will appear like wizardry. Touch it and you will get your Details page. Enter the day and time you want to be reminded and any notes. Toward the bottom, next to List you will see Reminders;click that and you will get a Change List page. Make certain that under icloud, Reminders is checked. I just did it before I wrote to you and it syncs perfectly with my Mac.

Hope this helps,

Strangest thing happened with my calendar this morning (i noticed, but it's been more than a few days that it's been misbehaving). My phone did not alert me to an appointment I had yesterday and I knew it was this week sometime so I went to look for it on my computer and it was not there. Trouble is, I couldn't find it on my phone either but I am SURE I put it in there. I also had another one that was upcoming that I was sure I had put in there on my macbook just the other day. So i redid that one, and it didn't show up on my phone and most of my month looked blank when viewed on the 'month' view. Until I went to view the 'day' view and then clicked "today" down in the lower right hand corner to see all the upcoming events. THEN they all were there in that view, but many recently added appointments hadn't been indicated as being on the calendar in any other view nor on my macbook. Now that I had viewed them as a list of upcoming events in the 'today' view on my phone, suddenly they all appeared on my calendar on macbook and iPhone. I did not change a thing except to look at a different view.

This is very strange to me. In addition my daughter's calendar kept not syncing but suddenly now started working again when she hasn't changed anything

Oh and yeah, I did miss my appointment yesterday because of this.
