how do i unblock flixster plug ins

My Flixster wouldn't work either so I tried a whole bunch of things. I emailed Flixster and they told me to log out and restart my macbook and then sign in again, but that didn't work. I reinstalled Adobe Flash Player and that still didn't work. The thing that did work for me was to reinstall Flixster. I just went into the Flixster website and reinstalled one for mac and it worked for me.

I had this problem recently when Adobe released a new version of their Flash plug in.

The suggestions on this thread didn't work for me, however I managed to resolve the issue by updating the Flixster desktop app files with the latest Adode Flash Player plugin.

Here's the steps:

1. Download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player (http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/)

2. In Finder, navigate to /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/

3. Copy Flash Player.plugin to the clipboard

4. In Finder, navigate to /Applications/Flixster.app

5. Double Tap (or Ctrl Click) the Flixster.app file

6. Click Show Package Contents

7. Navigate to Contents/PlugIns

8. Paste the latest version of Flash Player.plugin over the top of the existing one

9. Select Replace when the dialog box appears asking to confirm your action

10. Restart your Mac

11. Try Flixster again, this time it should work

I have just recently experienced the same problem BUT have resolved it by uploading Adobe Air - problem solved easy! so frustrating.....
