i'm a new user of numbers, as I use microsoft excel to create gantt chart before,it' s easy, but now, I like to use mac numbers, possibly, I'm not familiar with numbers, so i couldn't find a way to solve the date as a value and reverse the axises. Could somebody like to help me to solve this? Thanks.

A 2D Stacked Bar Chart with white fill for Start Date. So simple!
I deleted some rows (items) from Table 1 but the chart Y axis stayed at 35 items, with no bars for the missing items.
To make the chart more interactive, we can select whole Columns A, B and C in table 1
and insert a new 2D Stacked Bar (Table and Chart are both on the same Sheet for clarity):
Now we can add (or delete) items (I added Item 12 to Table 1)
and the chart automatically updates.

For others who may want to have me send a copy of the template, it is better to either send me an email request directly, or to reveal your email address in your profile preferences rather than to place your email address in your post.
