How do i save a picture on my,iPad from an email that was sent to me

Tap and hold down on the photo and a Save option will pop up. Tap Save and the photo will go into the camera roll in the photos app.

When I tap and hold down on this photo in my email, as you can see, I get the option to save to Camera Roll. Try it again. If it doesn't work, it may be related to the issue that you were seeing about the image could not be fetched. Try it in Chrome again as well.

Go to Settings>Privacy>Photos and see if you need to enable anything in there in order to save Photos. There is also a setting in Restrictions - Settings>General>Restrictions>Privacy>Photos that might prevent you from saving photos if it is enabled.

If it could save it then it went to the Camera Roll in Photos.

So you are just seeing the photo as an attachment not the actual picture?

If so, the link to the photo may be bad.

Did you look in the camera roll in the photos app?

Tap on Albums at the top of the photos app and them see of the camera roll appears. The camera roll is an album in the photos app.
