My iPhone 4S battery life is terrible, Even with iOS 6.1.1

Well DACCG, I've also done that and still have terrible battery performance. I suspect I'm not the only one.

Well, it worked for me. As well, to avoid unnecessary battery drain I try to turn off the 3G off when I am not using it (when on wifi, e.g.) and turning off the wifi when I am not intending to connect to any network.

panicp: Did you turn off calendars? For me, it wasn't the mail that was causing the issue but the calendars.

Yes I did. I've done everything mentioned above!! While I appreciate some people might have sorted their phones not all of us have and it's all because of 6.1.1

I still have significant battery drain.

The point is WHY should we even have to do all this cr@p just because apple wrote a terrible update? It should be up to them to fix this - not for loyal customers to spend hours scratching their heads.

Are you saying that these results are bad? And that the restore did nothing to help? This looks pretty decent to me depending on the type of usage. Folks here are not getting but a few hours without having to recharge. At you current rate you are approaching over 38 hrs standby and over 5 hrs of use before you battery is gone. Maybe I am misunderstanding you post and if so I apologize.

Where exactly did you see that iOS 6.1.1 was pertaining to a battery life fix? It was to address a cellular /3G issue. No where did it state it was addessing any battery issue. Look back to page 4 at my other post regarding battery life and some suggestions that may help.

I am using three email accounts, one Gmail, one Hotmail and one Exchange. However, I am only using the email sync, no calendars.

DACCG , we pretty much have same battery life..

i do not use push but always useing kik and googlevoice apps that are always on push

my question to you is.. are you going to update to 6.1.2?

since your running fine..?

i doubt i am for the risk of my own phones personal problems like most above us..

Yeah, as soon as they release iOS 6.1.2 I will update my phone. It's not running 100% fine tho, I got better battery life on 6.1 than now, and that was without worrying too much, so I will definitely update. I even had an appointment for today at an Apple Store, but I cancelled because it seems to be working almost 100% fine.

VoIP drains the battery, especially on 3G, that's nothing awkard. Texting a lot drains the battery too so there's nothing wrong if the battery is not as good with these usages.

By the way, another tip to save battery life is to turn off all the location services from the menu 'System Services', if you don't use them obviously.

To do so: Settings/Privacy/Location Services/System Services (you need to scroll downt to the bottom)

also i would like to add.. which service you all have with the poor battery?

my experience is AT&T, SPRINT ETC..iphones are knock offs even from retail..

they are slow and just load like heck..

now i reading the book im iBooks and only this app is running. I dont use 3g of wifi and i lose near 1 percent per 2 minutes. And back left side of my phone is warmer than my hands and right side. U still think that is normal?
