My iPhone 4S battery life is terrible, Even with iOS 6.1.1

Hi Apple Users

I'm on my 6th 4S handset since summer 2012! Last night (11/2) I updated my phone with iOS 6.1.1 and the battery life is worse than ever before! All apps are fully closed down, Wifi/Bluetooth are turned off! Screen brightness is down to 18%. I've no e-mail accounts set up! Location services are switched off

I'm replying to this forum in hopes that someone from Apple is reading this. I would either like to be able to roll back to iOS 6.1 or I'd like to install an operating system that doesn't SUCK MY BATTERY DRY BY 2:30 IN THE AFTERNOON!!!!!!! I've barely used my phone today, it was at 100% when I left for work this morning and now at 2:30 p.m., with very little use, it's down to 9%. 9 fricking %, Apple. Please fix this.

So I was actually on 5.1 on a iphone 4s and held off updating until 6.1 came out. Let's just say I wish would have never updated in the first place. I did not have any issues under 5.1 and as soon as I updated to 6.1 I have had bluetooth connectivity issues, wifi dropping, and battery drain. I've done a DFU restore and did not restore from backup so the phone was bascially setup as new and am still having issues.

That being said this will probablly being my last iPhone, aside from what the sheep would like to believe, Apple has horrbile customer support. I've been to there store on few occasions for other un-related issues and they never know how to fix anything. They're standard protocol seems to be for you to do a restore for almost all issues.

On top of the support issues I've grown tired of Apple's incremental updates which have delivered nothing really innovative since the iphone 4. Let's take the iPhone 5 for example, they streched the screen 1/2 an inch, slightly improved the camera & processor, change the connector (so you would have to shell out more dollars for cables and/or new accessories), and finally added LTE. Is this what you consider innovation? I must have my definition of the word mistaken for something else.

I've tried to update to 6.1.1 but keep getting the message "unable to verify update ios 6.1.1 you are no longer connected to the internet". I'm glad now that it didn't work and I won't be trying to update it anytime soon. It's unprofessional of Apple to release these updates which cause so many issues. My battery life is 6 hr 49 minutes usage and 1 day, 15 hrs standby. I have no issues with the phone right now. Until there's an update that corrects the latest 6.1.1 issues and I see PROOF that no one is having any other problems after updating, I won't be changing anything on my phone. I'm sorry you all have had these issues, but thankful I was able to read these posts and be forewarned. I hope Apple makes this right, soon!

Yes, I foolishly updated a few days ago, as prompted, and now my 4S battery drains fully overnight if not plugged in so fully it is dead in AM. Also drains like a sink with the stopper removed during day. Pathetic. Annoying. All this post the 6.1.1 update. I had to turn off email push and it's better, but hobbling my phone's capabilities is an update, an improvement? Seems somebody screwed up badly at Apple and we need a re-update. Why all these reports of "bad" updates, Apple!!??

Just to update things since I started this topic

iOS 6.1.2 showed up on my 4S at 0016hrs today so I updated the phone which was quite quick compared to previous updates which have been released. iOS 6.1.2 is twice as worse now and the battery drains far far quicker than ever, I took my iPhone off the charge this morning at 0900 at 100% full battery. The iPhone now has dropped down to 79% as at 1045hrs. Apple are getting worse and worse now!
