My iPhone will not turn off,
Once I get to the red slide button, it acts as if it is shutting down, then all of a sudden the apple sign reappears and it is back on

Try a reset: Press the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for ten seconds until the Apple logo appears. Note: No data will be lost
Try again... Do the results change?
No, I have tried about 10 times, and all it does is restart each time. It never turns off. Something is also draining my battery, even though I have everything at the bare minimum. No apps open, brightness almost to zero, no notifications on, etc.....
Software troubleshooting in order...
Restart: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Power Off slider appears. Power off then power back on.
If no change...

If no change...
Restore: First from backup... If no change as New > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
If still no change...
It may be a hardware issue... you should take the device to the closest Apple store and have it looked at.
Thanks, I did back it up yesterday so I will restore to see if that works before contacting apple support.
