No iTunes for Linux?

Recently I switched over from Windows to Linux (Ubuntu). However, I have noticed that Apple have not created an iTunes version for Linux and, despite pleas from Linux users, Apple have not yet created one. When will Apple create a version?


Would it work if Apple were to create something similar to Apple TV for iTunes in the form of hardware?

Apple has not announced any plans to create a version of iTunes for Linux. Whether they will ever do so is something none of us here can say, though with the very small overall marketshare of Linux on the desktop, it seems to me unlikely in the foreseeable future.
