No iTunes for Linux?

Recently I switched over from Windows to Linux (Ubuntu). However, I have noticed that Apple have not created an iTunes version for Linux and, despite pleas from Linux users, Apple have not yet created one. When will Apple create a version?

Would it work if Apple were to create something similar to Apple TV for iTunes in the form of hardware?

iPod nano, Other OS, Ubuntu 12.10

I agree! It's working for Google Android! I'm an Ubuntu Linux user and I own an iPhone and an Android tablet.
