Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
To navigate through the hard disk and its folders, OS X has got the Finder > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2470
You can access to the Finder pressing the app icon at the left of the Dock; that's Finder icon.
Also, if you want, open > About this Mac > Storage, to see what's taking up space on the hard disk. Enjoy the Mac

Thanks mende 1. I installed Microsoft Office and it was installed on the HD but when I looked in finder I didnt see the folder to drag it to the trash to delete it. When I used the other alernative I was able to see it. Thank you. So if I wanted tto delete it I just drag it to the trash?
In OS X, most of the apps are uninstalled just dragging them to the Trash, but Office should have an uninstaller to uninstall it because it has got special files on system folders
Hmm i dont see an uninstaller
What Office version have you installed?
If you have installed Office 2011, it doesn't come with an uninstaller. Follow these steps to uninstall Microsoft Office > http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2398768/en-us
Which version of Office do you have?
To completely uninstall Office 2008 - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2500821
To completely uninstall Office 2011 - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2398768?wa=wsignin1.0
Let me know if you've an earlier version.
Good luck,
Clinton
