Connect Wireless Keyboard & Mouse with Ipad3

Hello! guys,

I have an Microsoft Wireless Desktop Keyboard and Mouse , Please check link below.

http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-2LF-00001-Wireless-Desktop-800/dp/B003SVSJ1K

Can I connect this to my Ipad 3? Although I don't have a USB adapter, but might purchase it, If I am sure it works.

But the question is for Technical expert, That this particular Microsoft Keyboard & mouse works on 2.4 Ghz Wi-fi Signal, Therefore Is there an App which can allow this connectivity with out the additional USB key required?

If you have further queries, Please let me know.

Apple never claims that the iPad is a computer. And it isn't. It's an appliance or something that works with your computer. It's like a smart phone.

It's difficult to work on Excel with a tablet, so I don't. When I need to work on huge spreadsheets, I use a real computer. I need the processing power and access to a mouse and keyboard.

As for FPS games, there are a lot of them on the iPad, and they seem to be quite popular. I've seen kids play them, and they're very good with them. Part of how the iPad works is that it has a gravitometer, so as you tilt, the action tilts. It's more natural. In fact, I've read a lot of stock analyst reports that say that Xbox and PS3 are dying gaming systems, as the iPad is a more intuitive method of playing games. I have no idea, as I am not a gamer. But you cannot use a mouse.

I don't know what Apple claims this Ipad to be (probably an Entertainment Or Professional device)?

The processing power any tablet now a days can be more than enough to process 2 excel documents together.

Let me correct you on FPS games, It means First Person Shooter, which activitly requires mouse & Keybaord than touch gestures (As its not comfortable to use).

PS3 & Xbox360 can't be compared here as they are not portable gaming consoles and they have different market for games.

@jainvikas8 iPad FPS games abosulutely do not require a keyboard and mouse control. There are many good FPS games on iPad designed to work with iPad controls - i.e. gestures because they were built for iPad, not computers. OrangeMarlin is correct, I think it is much more intuitive on iPad.

Look at:

Rage

Call of Duty: Zombies

Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies

Dead Space

Metal Gear Solid

Doom

It's not about being correct or wrong here... My bro downloaded a game named as "Dead Trigger" and he asked me whether he can play with an keyboard and mouse... as holding the tablet and playing with thumbs is not quite comfortable. I ignored him for a while, later I felt i need to use a mouse and keyboard for work purpose. Therefore the discussion has been sparked.

As Ipad seems to be a perfect Netbook with touch, all it lack's is mouse and keyboard connectivity for easy control.

I wasn't suggesting this is about being right but I suppose I wasn't clear. I have three main points here:

1) You cannot connect a mouse. Having a touch-based interface the iPad is simply not designed for it.

2) Given that, games are not developed for use with a mouse anyway.

3) Try the different games. The developers may have slightly different ways of implementing the interaction and you may find one or more easier and more comfortable than the others.

You can try using some of the hardware add-ons that more or less act as a joystick and see if that works. Maybe it will be more comfortable for your brother. I suspect though, as a gamer he is just used to the keyboard and mouse and with a bit of time it will be more comfortable.
