I soived the issue, you can't insert row while in catagory view. If i turn off or hide catagories the funtion works fine.

Hi Rusty,
I worry that this may be a trick question, but here goes:
Click on the Row tab to select the entire row.
Command-C to Copy the Row to the Clipboard
Insert > Copied Rows
Or, did you have something else in mind?

It's context sensitive. For instance, you can't add a Header Row if there are already 5 header rows. You will find the option grayed out if you haven't selected a cell, which identifies your location in the table. Anytime you find an option grayed out in the iWork apps, there's a context issue.

I was expecting it to add the row at the same time. 🙂 Come from Microsoft and these small changes can be frustrating. Thanks.
OK, thanks for the clarification. Let us know what happens with the second try. We should be able to get this working.

(Boy, you're fast)
I try to do what is described above but when i go to the insert tab, only the insert columns option is available, the insert row option is gray not balck.
JM,
Thanks for reporting how you solved your problem. I'll add that situation to my long list of issues with using the Category Viewer.

Not a trick question. I've tried that with no success but I'll try it again.
