In theory, it's a way to stream video from your Mac to your TV via the Blu-Ray player (once you network it). You also need DLNA server software. Two I know of on the Mac are Twonky and TVMobili. In practice I've found that many DNLA clients are finicky about the types (codecs / formats) of video that are playable, even with transcoders in the server software.
