Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
My imac's screen keeps going to sleep randomly... sometime frequently other times with extended intervals...
I have checked forums and re set PRAM and SMC also re set the energy saver preferences, turned off hot corner assigned to screen sleep, installed caffeine (non sleep program) but no luck yet... It still keeps happening... Help!

So, is the PC doing Printer Sharing, or File Sharing to you?
Should be no sharing... we share the network that is it.
I don't know if this means anything but there seems to be a lot of warnings...

I have the same prob - took it to Genius Bar and they cant reproduce it, so didnt do anything - get it home and it keeps doing it! -its unusable!

Today I went to 'display' in 'system preferences' and turned off the adjust brightness tick box and It didn't do it all day... The problem happens so randomly that I'm not holding my breath just yet.

After hitting a dead end with all trouble shoots on the system itself, It was concluded that it was a hardware problem.
I have taken it into the shop and just heard back that it is a problem with the LCD screen and now it is being replaced.
So the whole LCD Panel has been repaced at a cost of about $1500 NZ Dollars including labour.
