I can't successfully pair my iPhone 5 with my MacBook Pro. It shows as paired, but won't connect. Have done all the usual like unpaid on phone and Mac, switch off bluetooth, re-start both and try to connect again. Any suggestions?

This is not supported.
The Sync process is via iTunes.

Don't know how 'unpaid' crept in there - should be unpair!
I don't want to sync, as you say, this is through iTunes. I have apps which worked on my iPhone 4 which use bluetooth. Previously tethered via bluetooth as well.
