Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I just updated to iOS 6.1 today evening and in a few hours the ringer stopped working.
I have tried all of below
1. Check mute button,
2. Soft reset
3. Hard reset.
Nothing works. Suddenly when a call comes it will ring once and stop.
No keyboards clicks, cant hear music either.
When i put the call on speaker mode it doesnt work either.
Please help...
iPhone 5, iOS 6.1
Not sure what a soft reset and hard reset are.
There is only restart, reset, restore from backup and restore as new.
Have you tried all of these?
Settings>>Sounds>>Turn up ring?
I have exactly the same problem, also after upgrading to OS 6.1. what is the solution?

Have sent the phone to apple store for replacement
I bought an iPhone 5 yesterday and had the same issue - ringer not working, no music through the speakers etc. I tried to back restore it but to no avail. I took it into a Mac shop and they were stumped too. I have iOS 6.1.3 on the phone.
A strange thing happened today. I use my phone as an alarm clock. I set it last night as I do normally (I had a 4S before) and this morning the alarm woke me up. I tried to play some music through the speakers and lo and behold it worked as did the ringer and other tones.
Not sure if this was pot luck or what but it maybe worth a try before chucking the phone out of the window!
I'd be interested to know if this works for anyone else.
there is a switch on the side of the iphone, switch it, if that doesnt work, i dont know wat to tell u man
I'm having the same problem with Iphone 5 no ringer or speaker. Did both soft and hard resets no change.
you need to go to the Apple Store to have them replace the speaker.
Guys, Try to restart your phone, It works for me.
To doing that, hold on home and lock button for 10 second,
It fix the speaker problem as well.
