i wanted to forward my friends text message using iPhone 4 but it won't work

my iphone 4 cannot forward forward messages i tried restting & rebooting it. nothing happens..

i can copy but when i try to paste it it wont paste..can anybody help me on this. please.

iPhone 4, iOS 6.1

That's not how you forward:

1) View the SMS the message you'd like to forward.
2) Tap EDIT at the top of the screen.
3) Check off the message(s) you'd like to forward.
4) Tap FORWARD at the bottom right of the screen.
