How to load web content and set homepage on simple iOS browser app

Calling me presumptuous is helpful, thanks. I know that setting a homepage on a Mac is just a plist file and I know its possible to load content such as images or other media files with an iOS app, I just don't know how its done, so I don't think its much of a leap to assume that both of those things should be reasonably straightforward for someone who already knows how its done.

Now I seem to have marked your answer as solving my question by accident and there is no way to undo it. Great.

I am reading it now but I tend to find most of these documentation pages are written for people who know how to code pretty well already. I don't.

I was kind of hoping this wouldn't require much coding. It seems a little bizarre that one can build a web browser off the shelf but giving it a hompage is much more complicated!
