I installed text wrangler and am on 10.7.5 not sure which did it but it no longer will save pictures it says it encounters an error I haven't found any info on here that fixes the issue. I've fixed permissions, it's not checked for 32 bit but that made no difference, I threw out preference files, nothing works. thanks.

I'm having the same problem, same error message, but in Mavericks.
I reinstalled. Nothing happened.
I inserted the code you suggested. That is:
{ sudo chflags -R nouchg,nouappnd ~ $TMPDIR.. ; sudo chown -Rh $UID:staff ~ $_ ; sudo chmod -R u+rwX ~ $_ ; chmod -R -N ~ $_ ; } 2> /dev/null
Nothing happened.
I cannot confidently follow the third piece of a because the Recovery page seems to have changed for Mavericks:
"Boot into Recovery and when the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
Utilities ▹ Terminal"
This option is no longer there at Recovery.
