iphone 3gs wont activate after updating to ios6

i decided to upgrade my iphone to ios 6 but after going through the process of wanting to activate my phone it says it cant activate it. i dont have my phone with any big contract company i have it with simple mobile for multiply reasons. does anyone why this is happening? i would really appriciate it
