I recently moved over to a Mac Book Air. I've kept the Time Machine from my old Mac Book Pro so I could get anything back I needed to. What I'm trying to retrieve is my Pages templates. Can't find them on the MBP time machine - have searches & also looked in library > application support > iWork etc. can't find it. Seems pages '09 isn't there - altho pretty sure I was using that rather than '08. Any suggestions? Thanks
Are you saying that you have found the Pages 08 My templates?
Which Library did you look into? The one that have the My Templates (your custom templates) is in the Users > your name > Library. There are other Libraries too on the computer but they don't hold the tempaltes.
Which version of MacOs system did you have on the old machine?
Couldn't find any templates in that location. Bizarre really. It was Snow Leopard

Can you make it clear that you have looked in ALL the libraries?
Also is it possible that the Time Machine was set to ignore System files?
