I have a simple solution. I had the same problem with my Dlink DIR-816 Router. It seems many people are facing this problem with D-link routers. I noticed that if I restart my router the iPhone and iPad are capable of finding the air printer for some time, and then stop. This means something is changing with time In the Dlink router. In the wireless set up (both 2.4 and 5 GHz) there is an option for BAND WIDTH which is set by default to Auto 20/40M for 2.4 GHz and Auto 20/40/80M for 5 GHz. I am presuming that when the router just starts up it does so with the lower band width which can communicate using the apple bonjour service in the air printer, but later on when higher bandwidths are utilized the communication stops. I have read somewhere that apple's bonjour service prefers the lower band widths but I cannot find the link again. So I simply tried to set both 2.4 and 5 GHz BAND WIDTHS to 20 ONLY. Then I restarted the router (this step is important). Low and behold my air printers work now perfectly with my iPhone and IPad. Hope this helps everyone having this problem. Make sure the bonjour service in the air printer is ON.

Most of the resources I could find said that AirPrint uses Bonjour to advertise its services. To make AirPrint available, then, you might need to open ports on the router. This document should be helpful.
Hi..I've had a variant of this problem; my internet was accessible but my devices on wifi could not see the PC on Lan. That meant no iTunes syncing, Airplay from iTunes etc.
Dlink has a strange default setting that isolates Wifi & Wired connections into different subnets.I'm assuming you have DHCP setup on your router and you're PC or MAC has internet access via the same router. Try the following steps to see if this solves the problem for you; first Log into your DLINK admin page-
1. Go to Setup -> Local Network and Uncheck the box that says 'Configure the second IP Address and Subnet Mask for LAN' - Hit Apply
2. Go to Wireless -> Wireless Basic and Uncheck 'Enable MultiAP Isolation' - Hit Apply
3. Restart your Router
You do not need to port forward. Just get the Wired & Wireless devices on the same Subnet.
Let me know if this solves your problem. I've been frustrated by my problem for months & had nearly given up.
