The solution is simple just hold the home button and the power button about 15 seconds and it will show the apple logo with means its rebooting while its rebooting hold the home button while connecting usb cable and remember to open itunes before doing this after this later it will ask you to restore the ipod.
Sorry to interrupt, how about after clicking Restore Ipod -> Extracting Software -> Sames pop-up message states that Ipod software update server can't be contacted/unavailable at this time, then nothing happens, still under Recovery Mode.thanks
