parental controls to allow https sites

I am trying to limit web browsing to only specific sites. How do I allow browsing for https (secure) sites. When I enable access to these https sites, the user still can't access them...mssg says that Safari can't establish a secure connection to the server (then states website). Can anyone help me?

https note: For websites that use SSL encryption (the URL will usually begin with https), the Internet content filter is unable to examine the encrypted content of the page. For this reason, encrypted websites must be explicitly allowed using the Always Allow list. Encrypted websites that are not on the Always Allow list will be blocked by the automatic Internet content filter.

I'm curious how or if you resolved this. I am trying to set my controls to automatically detect adult content and then adding sites to always allow. I have tried to allow secure websites like my bank, Hotmail and others and no matter how I enter it, they do not work. So, just putting the web address in the "Always Allow" list doesn't work for me. Thanks.
