Iphone 5 Tmobile No Service

I got a tmobile nano sim and put it in my iPhone 5, then I restored it and iTunes said congratulation your iPhone has been unlocked. for some reason on the top it's saying no service. I asked the tmobile guy at the store to double check if it was activated he said it was, he told me to call customer service I call them and they said there's nothing wrong with the sim its perfectly active. I tried restoring and setting it up again but still the same problem. what can i do? i already got it unlocked and made sure it was unlocked

I would double check with AT&T since they unlocked it.

already did. idk whats wrong my iphone 5 got restored and still dont work. i had a iphone 4 on tmobile from ATT (unlocked) and it worked fine

You did unlock it directly through AT&T and not some random website or hack, right? If so, did you restore the phone as new when you got the "Congratulations..." message from iTunes, and not from a backup?

It should just recognize the sim and show T-Mobile as the carrier. I have a 4S that is unlocked and I can use my sim from my Nexus 4 in the 4S. I do have to load up a custom APN to be able to send MMS because the phone won't allow MMS without the change.

Try another sim if you can by buying a bring your own phone sim at T-Mobile.
