I have a 2008 black macbook and everytime im using the computer and its plugged in charging the machine seems to crash, the machine seems to run fine when not plugged in? very weird i am using a 60W Magsafe Charger

If you haven't already, you might reset the SMC.
just done that nad iv reset the PRAM i think its called
If the SMC and PRAM resets don't help, you can bring up the Console application where you may be able to see what is causing the problem. Console is in applications/utilities on your hard drive.
